This course covers patchwork quilt basics, spread over four evening sessions. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe will be using a ‘Jelly Roll’ pack. These are width of fabric two and a half inch strips, which are sold in coordinating and complimentary colours to save us having to think too hard about fabric choices. There are two ticket options with or without a Jelly roll.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe will create simple quilt blocks using the strips so the quilt will come together (relatively) quickly. Once the piecing of blocks is done, we will join with sashing, create a quilt sandwich and quilt using the machine. If, however, you'd like to create something larger, there are plenty of options available, including a table runner, lap quilt or bed cover quilt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou might choose to make several of the same block, or combine it with some of the other blocks featured in our workshop programme to design a quilt that is uniquely your own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe also run regular \u003cem\u003eSash, Sandwich and Snack\u003c\/em\u003e sessions to help you bring your quilt together. These workshops cover adding optional sashing between your blocks, incorporating borders, and preparing your quilt sandwich. You are very welcome to quilt your project yourself, or, if you prefer, have it completed by a professional long-arm quilter.
