Creative kits from Stitching Kitchen

I am proud to say I have got some new kits from the Stitching Kitchen to share with you all - I have spent the summer creating and re configuring some creative kits.

Early this summer I was asked for some bird needle-felting kits for a creative birthday gift for a young man who enjoys spotting birds in his garden.  As I was making kits to create a blue tit and robin I remembered some feedback I had been given at a large workshop last year.   Some of my guests found step by step photos really helpful while making, my early kits were supplied with a very wordy ‘how to’ and few photos.  So the new kits now have step by step photos with brief descriptions to help you on your way.  I have to credit my daughter with the style and layout for the instructions, she is a whizz with the graphic design side of things.

So to go with the birds I have a Christmas themed Tomte kit with plans for woodland animals and a unicorn in the pipeline.

What other creatures would you like to needlefelt?  Would you like me to run an online class to make a needlecelted animal or bird ?

With thanks to the Embroiderers Guild branch in Daventry they kick started my newest embroidery kit.  I was due to be visiting their branch to run an Indian Block Printing workshop but due to C19 that is not going to happen…yet!  Maybe next year if we are lucky.  But they wanted a project which would encompass the Indian Block Printing style with some stitch so this embroidery kit was born.

The kit contains the fabric and inspiration for you to create a colourful embroidered elephant.  You will fill in the detail of the Printed Elephant with embroidery thread and beads - you can follow my stitch suggestions or go your own way.  Full instructions are included in the kit and there is also a supporting you tube tutorial for the stitches if you prefer to learn that way.

I do hope that you like the kits, do let me know if you have any questions about these or if you would like me to create any other kits for you, or if you would like to see more online tutorials either on YouTube or as live online sessions.
