{"product_id":"dresden-plate-quilt-block-workshop","title":"Dresden Plate - Quilt Block Workshop","description":"\u003cp\u003eThe Dresden Plate is a popular traditional quilt block.  It is pieced by machine and then hand sewn to the background fabric.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis workshop will teach you how to :\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUse templates to accurately cut your pieces\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eHints and tips around piecing on your machine\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eGet a great finish while hand appliquéing the motif\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis workshop is suitable for those how have done some patchwork or sewing in the past.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFabric Requirements:\u003cbr\u003e12.5 inch square backing fabric \u003cbr\u003e3 or more fabrics for the design - either tonal or contrasting.  You will need strips of approximately 5 inches - total of around a fat quarter amount in total. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis quilt block workshop works beautifully as a standalone project, and the finished block could easily be transformed into a cushion. If, however, you'd like to create something larger, there are plenty of options available including a table runner, lap quilt of bed cover quilt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou might choose to make several of the same block, or combine it with some of the other blocks featured in our workshop programme to design a quilt that is uniquely your own.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe also run regular Sash, Sandwich and Snack sessions to help you bring your quilt together. These workshops cover adding optional sashing between your blocks, incorporating borders, and preparing your quilt sandwich.  You are very welcome to quilt your project yourself, or, if you prefer, have it completed by a professional long-arm quilter.
