Meet the team at Stitching Kitchen

Stitching Kitchen has a small team of people who work behind the scenes to make your workshop and shopping experience second to none!

Hannah is the owner and founder of Stitching Kitchen, she juggles running the business around her family responsibilities.  She has three daughters a dog, Lilly, who you may meet at the studio and a cat!   She is a lifelong crafter who loves textile art and sharing her crafting and sewing skills.

If you have been into the studio there is a high chance that Emma has welcomed you, she works as the studio assistant and also now teaches knitting and crochet.  She is a complete yarn queen but has come over to the sewing side under the influence of the in house sewists

Lauren works behind the scenes creating lots of interesting content for our social media and ensuring that you all get to hear about the great workshops and offers we have at Stitching Kitchen

We also have a host of freelance tutors who help us to deliver the amazing workshops.  Some are regular visitors like Janine who teaches Quilt and Patchwork and also visits each month for Long Arm Quilting Consultations.

Sara has also just joined us as another quilt workshop tutor.

Sara was introduced to quilting quite by chance. Whilst walking through a local town she noticed a fabric shop was hosting a patchwork taster session.  An hour later she was hooked. Her first quilt was a traditional machine pieced log cabin using beautiful batiks fabrics but now she enjoys using different techniques in the same quilt e.g. sashiko, appliqué, candle wicking and celtic knots.

She has taught patchwork for a number of years and love passing on the joy of stitching and making beautiful handmade items.

We have regular dressmaking for mind and body sessions which are led by pattern cutter and experienced dressmaker and costumer Helen - she is so generous with her knowledge and infinitely patient

Lyn has recently joined us.  She has been sewing since the age of 10, taught by her mum and grandmothers who worked in the sewing industry. She loves sewing, predominantly garments for herself to add to her brightly coloured wardrobe! She ran an image training company for 11 years, so she knows a thing or two about what suits your body shape, colouring and style preferences.

Now you have met the team I am sure you are wanting to come and join us for a workshop - you will find out what is coming up at this link: WORKSHOP PROGRAM
