Piecing Made Easy

• Snap on the Perfect ¼” Foot (avoid using with the Straight Stitch Plate).

• Engage the IDT system.

• Choose a straight stitch:

  • For a true ¼” seam: shift the needle one or two steps left.

  • For a scant ¼” seam: keep the needle centered or move it slightly right.

• Place fabric right sides together, align edges with the guide, and sew.

• Press, measure, and admire your perfectly pieced block!

Tip: Depending on fabric and thread, you may need to fine-tune your needle position. Shift right to decrease seam allowance, left to increase it (safe within three steps).

Perfect for Topstitching

• Snap on the Perfect ¼” Foot and engage the IDT.

• Select your stitch (straight, triple straight, or mock hand quilting).

• Position the guide along the seam or fabric edge.

• Stitch with confidence—your lines will be beautifully straight and evenly spaced.
