Style Falcon sewing patterns are thoughtfully designed for women of menopause age and beyond, enabling them to create a handmade wardrobe that fits their bodies and their lives, without the hassle of adapting patterns designed for much younger bodies.

Unlike most sewing patterns, Style Falcon patterns are drafted for a mature figure - not a youthful hourglass figure. That means:

• Little bust-to-waist definition

• Lower bust points, for a “C” to “D” cup

• More room at the tummy, hip and sleeve bicep

• Center-back seams, with rounded back and forward shoulder shaping

• For people about 5’4” (about 163 cm)

About the Sublime Shell

So simple, yet so versatile, the Sublime Shell pairs well with jackets and cardigans, trousers and skirts. Sew it up in drapey woven fabrics such as lawn, crepe, georgette, voile or chiffon. You’ll reach for it time and again to create layers, or even to wear on its own.

This top has raglan sleeves and a slight shirttail hem. Bust and back shoulder darts help you get a great fit in woven fabric. A keyhole back with button sews up quickly.

View A is a cap-sleeved top with a bias-bound neckline. You can bind the neckline with the same fabric as the top, or use a contrasting fabric to create dimension.

View B is a short-sleeved top with a neckline facing, for a dressier look.

Fabric Choices

The Sublime Shell works best with drapey woven fabrics such as lawn, crepe, georgette, voile or chiffon. Shirting or poplin and quilting cottons also are suitable. See the materials charts for everything sewers need to make this pattern.

The Daring Duster comes in two layered .pdf formats - A0 and Letter. The A0 file is one one sheet of paper. The Letter format is on 21 pages.
